"This resort is a little GEM!" "Although this resort has only 21 units, there was plenty to see & do close by. The Borax Museum was a pleasant surprise after we drove through the 4500 windmills located nearby. Horse ranches, wineries, ostrich ranch, alpaca ranch, local brewery and German bakery are a few of the must see stops in this area. Just note that Stallion Springs resort is located 30 minutes from the closest town (Tehachapi). You will drive though fields of organic vegetables being cultivated by hand pickers. " ​

"Nice Resort. 25 minutes from town." "This is a nice resort. Plan on walking and climbing up and down stairs as the units are on several different levels. The swimming pool is a mile away (best to drive) and there is a hot tub on site. A golf course runs along SS and sometimes, deer and coyotes can be seen on it along with ground squirrels and rabbits. Several things to do nearby: The Pegasus Horse Rescue, Alpaca Ranch, Ostrich Farm (currently up for sale) and the Tehachapi Loop Train. The town of Tehachapi is 25 minutes away (each way). The California Living Museum (CALA) in Bakersfield is worth the drive. Try to have dinner at the Crystal Palace while you're there. " ​
